Rates & Billing

Case CAT

Proofreading within the software while utilizing the Track Changes feature and leaving pinned notes for further inquiry, suggestions, requests for a double check, sharing a laugh — all that jazz.

Annotations are embedded in the transcript (with that iconic red pen 😉 ) so that they can be seen within context. Reporter then adds the corrections into their software on their own.

Referral reward: Receive 30 pages free after sending a referral my way. Discount is applied to your future transcript of choice sent to me after a completed job with your referral.

§ The medical/technical surcharge is on a case-by-case basis. If a reporter is confident that all medical terms are spelled correctly (and the scoping stage verified it’s really "peroneal" instead of "perineal," for example) and gives me permission to assume as such and just read for punctuation, I will gladly eliminate my technical rate!

§ If you’d like to see how my rates compare to the national average, visit the Best Scoping Techniques survey (proofing rates are all the way at the bottom).

Rates are for final draft 25-line transcripts and apply to weekdays only. I reserve the right to charge higher for very messy transcripts, but I'll negotiate for special circumstances 🙂 Currently, I do not charge extra for holiday work.

Delivery Time

Like most businesses, delivery times do not include weekends. Weekend starts on Friday evening and ends at 8:00 a.m. Monday (EST). For example, if I receive a job on Friday afternoon and it's needed back Monday morning, the Urgent rate applies; if it's received Friday morning and needed back Monday afternoon, Rush rate applies.

Invoices are sent out on the 15th and 30th of every month, and payment is due within 15 days of receipt. There is a 10% late fee for each 15 days past due. Payments can be made in various ways.
